BIO



Kevin Hoffer graduated with a Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California. He first put it to good use on a comic book. As creator, writer and editor, he collaborated through his studio, Magic Beans, Inc., with his creative team to output six issues of "Objective Five" through Image Comics. He then turned his talents to drawing and photography and received some attention after a few gallery shows in Los Angeles. Although he loved the studio work, there wasn't enough collaboration. So he turned to acting and directing. After some stage and commercial work as an actor, he was made Creative Director for Naked Angels’ “Tuesdays@9: Los Angeles” cold reading series in Los Angeles in 2009. He’s directed for stage to some acclaim. Most notably Joshua Fardon's Do Not Disturb at Theatre of NOTE, which garnered positive reviews from The Hollywood Reporter, the LA Weekly and the LA Times. More recently, he successfully directed and produced Joshua’s latest work The Condition for Naked Angels. He's also directed work at Echo Theatre Co. and at The Blank Theatre. He has directed three short films, “Acorn Calf”, “Our Man in Madras”, and “Locked In”. The first two of which have screened at the Academy-Qualifying Los Angeles Shorts Festival, with the third on its way out now. Kevin has also shadowed directors on prestige network television shows like Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) and Madam Secretary (CBS). Most recently he has been directing animation voice-over work for theatrical release in the states ("Millennium Actress") as well for ongoing series. 2019
